Welcome back Peeps
WOW, What a whirlwind couple of months that has been and there goes another year!!! Cannot believe how fast the years are flying past us now. Is it my imagination or does it seem the older you get, the faster the years are. Seems unfair really.
In the past few months we have said goodbye to a long standing employee, welcomed a new employee, celebrated a very special birthday (you’ll have to ask Steve about that one!), visited our existing Chinese factory, been to the Grand opening of their New factory, attended the PTC Exhibition in Shanghai and I still managed a sneaky cruise down to Melbourne for the Melbourne Cup!
Suffice to say, absolutely knackered and need another holiday (always ready for a holiday, right?). With Steve and Dawn heading down to NSW to spend time with family over the XMas break, I will be lolling on the beach at Stradbroke island for a week and doing nothing but eating, drinking and being very merry (sure that will do wonders for the waistline..grrrr). Ahh, you only live once right.
Let me just take this chance to say to you all that we here at Tidal Fluid Power really appreciate you! We wish you all the very best for Christmas and New Year and hope you enjoy your very well deserved break.

After 8 years we sadly said Good Bye to Danny Dunsdon last month.
Danny has moved on to broaden his horizons and we wish him all the very best in his new ventures.
Good Luck Danny.
We welcome to our team Step Van Duijn.
Step comes to us as a Hydraulics all rounder with some great experience and a hunger for knowledge. He is happily parked in the office at the moment while we feed his voracious appetite.
Don’t be shy, give him a call and introduce yourself!
Welcome Aboard Step.

During October our Chinese Supplier, SKS, opened their brand new, state of the art factory in Zhejiang (pronounced Ja-Shing). We were honored to be invited to the grand occasion and both Steve and myself flew to China to attend.
The opening day was a warm one. Seated in front of the stage we watched (I would say and listened but it was all in Chinese so we didn’t understand a word of it) as the VIP’s all got up to tell their stories and congratulate SKS on their great achievement. Steve was also considered a VIP and was invited to speak at the ceremony. He was given a very strict time frame (so the speech had to be rewritten 3 times LOL) and I must say he did a really good job (although I wouldn’t tell him that!). I have taken a video (which I apologise is very jumpy – I def need to brush up on my video taking skills!) and you can view that here!
The official opening was followed by a lunch and then back to the factory for a guided tour. The new factory is absolutely amazing with the very best of everything! New machines, templates, forges you name it, they got it! See the mini gallery below for some of my personal faves.
They have an amazing showroom that displays their products brilliantly as well as a miniature model of all their factories (see the video above!)
