With Swash plate construction and variable displacement the Series 20 axial piston pumps are perfectly suitable in closed circuit hydrostatic transmissions. The Tidal version is a direct equivalent to Sundstrand and Sauer-Danfoss series 20 pumps, size 20 thru 23.
The speed is determined by the angle of the swash plate which directly controls the flow rate.
